Scholarship

Sigma Chi gives out more funds in Scholarships than any other national fraternity. Being a member of Sigma Chi provides a unique opportunity to take advantage of a number of Scholarships for both undergraduate and postgraduate study.

Some national Scholarships available to members of Sigma Chi are:

  • General Scholarship Grants: Available to undergraduates
  • Order of the Scroll Award: Awarded to undergraduates who have been nominated by their chapter mates for the outstanding direction of the chapter's educational program.
  • Balfour Fellowship Award: Fellowship to a graduate student selected to serve as an active educational resource at an undergraduate chapter.
  • Denton Scholarship Award: This award annually provides a grant to a student pursuing a graduate degree in the field of International Affairs with an emphasis in World Trade, Economics, Business, or Political Science.
  • Mark P. Herschede Engineering Award: Scholarship available to qualified graduate brothers pursuing a degree in the field of engineering.
  • Grace and Jack D. Madson Graduate Scholarships: Only brothers entering their first year of graduate school are eligible for this one-time scholarship.
  • In addition, Sigma Chi Sigma (Princeton Chapter) each semester awards Scholarship Funds to the member with the highest GPA and the member with the most improved GPA.
